Daniel 3:17-18

Daniel 3:17-18 "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

This to shall pass...

Today got off to a bit of a rough start. When I arrived just before 7 a.m., I walked in just as Steve was starting to feel nauseated. When the nausea persisted, we let the nurses know what was going on and they gave him some medicine to help.  He ended up getting a couple of doses of anti-nausea medicine throughout the day. It seemed to help a bit, but he didn't have any appetite the whole day. Around the middle of the day he started passing gas. Unfortunately, with the gas also came some diarrhea. Steve ended up sleeping for most of the day. I'm hoping all the extra sleep will be helpful to his poor body and that he has a better day tomorrow.

  1. Hi Carla,

Also hoping that tomorrow is a better day.

It's never a 'quick' fix when they do the reconnect. Things haven't worked for months so it will take some time to feel anything like normal again...
Tell Steve he's in my thoughts and to just take things one day at a time
    xx

  2. Steve and Clara,
Steve - hang in. This part sucks, but you will be FINE. Radiation to my pelvis took two years to overcome and I am 99% recovered. You will be too, but this is going to take time - like a marathon. So, set your mind for that and keep your great sense of humor. My advice to Clara.....go buy lots and lots of underwear. Have a spare set of underwear and pants in every car. Baby wipes, ziplock bags, and a lotion call Balneol help too. If you buy the BIG Ziplocks you can have a "kit" in every car so you can walk into the unsuspecting bathroom, clean up, and walkout with everything in the BIG BAG. Here is a funny note....before cancer I was know for this saying...."This too shall pass maybe like a bad bowel movement, but it shall pass." Ironic, eh? Holding you close to my heart, Ang

  3. Dear Carole and Angela,
Thank you so much for your support and helpful hints. Your comments really help Steve because he knows you have been where he is at. It gives him hope that things may eventually get better. He just wishes it would come sooner rather that later.
    Gratefully, Carla
